ALM. BRAND NON-LIFE
Alm. Brand is the fourth-largest non-life insurer in Denmark. The company offers a broad range of insurance products targeting the personal, commercial and agricultural segments.
We have about 450,000 customers, equal to a market share of about 10%. In the agricultural segment, our market share is close to 30%.
We operate our non-life insurance activities in the legal entity: Alm. Brand Forsikring A/S.
At Alm. Brand, our goal is to have satisfied customers with whom we can develop long-term business relations. We base our business on the concept of "ordinary common sense" and strive to be known as a trustworthy, reliable and fair insurance company. To achieve these goals, we focus mainly on ordinary people in all customer segments throughout the country. Through this approach we are able to implement standard working procedures and standardise our products, thereby reducing our administrative costs.
Focused on providing service where the customer needs it, Alm. Brand maintains strong local representation through insurance shops, independent insurance shops and business partners. We are working to make our existing sales channels even more efficient, for example by developing Internet-based self-serve functionality.
In order to optimise efficiency, we are currently implementing a new, up-to-date non-life insurance system, which when fully run in at the end of 2005 will link up with already implemented restructuring measures to improve both our general service and customer service.
Alm. Brand aims to build a 13% market share by 2006 at the latest through profitable and organic growth.
